Job Description
As a Direct Support Professional in our Avon & Canton Day Program, you will empower individuals. You'll have the chance to make a real difference in the lives of our participants. Your role will involve supporting community involvement through outings and enrichment programs. You will plan and implement engaging, creative activities, tailored to the unique needs of each individual, to help them reach their personal best every day.
Job Requirements
Requirements:
- Must be at least 21 years old
- High School Diploma/GED required
- One year of experience working in the field of Human Services (preferred)
- Must have an active, non-restricted Connecticut Driver's License with a minimum 3-year possession (in U.S.)
- Clean driving history
- Reliable transportation (required commute to both locations Avon & Canton, CT)
- Must be able to safely lift a minimum of 75 lbs.
- Required to stand, walk, and sit for extended periods
