Job Description

The CES is responsible for a variety of duties related to the overall care of the individuals with Neurodiversity needs who live in their own home or work in their individual communities. The CES assists each individual to live and work independently as part of their program, while also supporting them to make progress towards their unique individual goals. Another area of focus for this position is to support the individuals in developing and maintaining friendships and community connections. 

Job Requirements

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS

Implement diverse recreational programs and activities, including sports, arts and crafts, fitness classes, and outdoor adventures

Assists individuals in making personal choices and accessing community activities.

Develops and expands community relationships to provide opportunities for increased independence.

Provides transportation as assigned.

Teaches and enforces safety practices.

Attends all required agency, department, state, accreditation trainings and meetings as assigned.

Completes all required documentation in Therap each shift and other methods of documentation as needed i.e. incident reports, etc

Perform other related duties as required. 


SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Valid driver’s license, good driving record as deemed by the agency’s liability broker.   Will be required to drive company van as needed to transport Individuals served.

Certification of CPR & First Aid, PMT, and all other required state trainings within required timeframe. 

Clear and effective communication skills.

Excellent problem-solving skills.

Knowledge of Microsoft Suite, i.e. Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Yammer, Email.

 

EDUCATION 

High School Diploma required.  Associates Degree strongly preferred.   

 

EXPERIENCE   

One (1) year of relevant work experience strongly preferred. 

 

Part-Time Position 18 hours/week

Hourly Rate: $20.00
